Heat Pumps – Test Content Page

Residential Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are an all-in-one cooling and heating solution. They are the most efficient form of electric heating in mild and moderate climates, providing two to three times more heating than the equivalent amount of energy they consume.

A heat pump is ideal for moderate climates, as it can easily make slight heat adjustments in your home environment in the winter, and it works like an air conditioner during the summer.

How It Works

All air, even seemingly cold air, has heat energy in it. A heat pump makes use of this and cycles warm air to where it is needed, or not needed, depending on the settings for the season. In the winter, a heat pump extracts heat from the outside air and cycles it indoors. In the summer, it extracts heat from inside your home and transfers it to the outdoor air.

Electricity and Gas

If you use electricity to heat your home, we highly recommend considering an energy-efficient heat pump system. In mild and moderate climates, you get double and sometimes triple the heating than the equivalent amount of energy they consume in electricity. Homes using gas can also achieve optimal comfort and efficiency using a Daikin heat pump, which can be combined with a gas furnace in one dual-fuel system.

Air Source and Ground Source

Air source heat pumps are recommended for mild and moderate climate regions, where the winter temperatures usually remain above 30°F. Ground source heat pumps (also known as Geothermal heat pumps) are more efficient and economical to operate when compared to conventional air source heat pumps, especially in climates with similar heating and cooling loads.

Ducted and Ductless Heat Pumps

Heat pumps can be ducted or ductless. We can help you find a solution suitable to the systems that may already be installed in your home. We also deal in Daikin Mini Splits, which are good for homes that need a zoning style. Mini Splits are small, massively efficient, and much quieter than traditional split air equipment.
