So What is VRV?

If you have ever read a report on the HVAC industry, then the term ‘VRV’ may sound familiar. This innovative air-conditioning system has dramatically changed the way new and existing high and low rise commercial buildings are cooled. But most of us don’t really understand VRV. We, at AAA Heating & Cooling, are here to explain VRV as simply as we can. So what is VRV?

Well, the world-famed VRV® (Variable Refrigerant Volume) is a technology pioneered by Daikin. It is rapidly growing acceptance in large size applications, due to its waterless operation, absolute flexibility and energy saving features.

Take a look at some Advantages of this VRV technology:

1.              COMPLETE FLEXIBILITY:

The VRV system enables different floors or even zones on same floor to have independent control of air-conditioning. System automatically controls each unit to provide individual rooms of different sizes with a comfortable working or living environment.

2.              LOW RUNNING COSTS:

The running costs of VRV system are low because it permits each zone to be controlled individually. That is only those rooms which require air-conditioning will be cooled while system can be shut down completely in rooms where no air-conditioning is required. Thanks to inverter technology, the outdoor units can be easily adjusted to the total load.

3.              SMART CONTROL BRINGS COMFORT: ROOM PRECISE TEMPERATURE CONTROL.

The electronic expansion valve continuously adjusts the refrigerant volume in response to load variations in indoor units. The VRV system thus maintains comfortable room temperature at a virtually constant level without temperature variations typical of conventional on/off control systems. Highly sophisticated PID controls provide room temperature within 0.5 deg c from set point.

4.             INVERTER DRIVEN CONDENSER FAN MOTOR

The condenser fan is provided with DC motor. Based on actual loads and ambient conditions, the fan speed is stepped up or down. This feature results in improved efficiency.

5.            DACMS (DAIKIN AIRCONDITIONING CONTROL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM): I-TOUCH CONTROLLER– (OPTIONAL)
